About us

Rugeley Musical Theatre Company, formerly Rugeley Operatic Society, was founded in 1952 with a production of Edward German’s Merrie England. Although centred in Rugeley town, RMTC has been producing shows around Staffordshire in places such as Stafford, Cannock and Alton Towers.

The resident company of the Rugeley Rose Theatre, RMTC produces a variety of musicals, pantomimes and concerts for our local community. All members of the company are complete volunteers, whether part of the cast, production team, committee, wardrobe, stage crew, front of house and much more. We do it for the love of it!
